This piece was done to remember how gentle and patient our Astro was. Luke was just a baby and Astro never raised an Eyebrow to him. We miss her greatly and are happy to have this painting to remember her.

This is my husband’s family cottage in northern Wisconsin. The photo I used for this piece was taken by my sister-in-law on a full moon evening while we were still out on the lake ice fishing. The snow had just started as we talked about packing up. It was a great family moment. We gave the original painting to my mother-in-law and had prints made for the rest of the family.

I painted it for my husband, Steve, because it is his favorite flower. I enjoyed using unexpected colors to set off the flower and bring it to life! This is such a versatile piece that I plan to expand its product line. Someone asked me to put it on a big canvas! Something I am considering. I also think it would be sweet in a smaller print and on a shirt.
